About this piece
A wabi sabi statement vase, about 34 cm tall and 31 cm wide, in a decorative composite with an aged drip finish: a wide organic body, a torn, flame like rim and deep charcoal streaks over a pale weathered surface. It is for an empty console, sideboard or dining table that needs one object people stop and ask about, and it is made for dried stems.
The finish is partly applied by hand, so the drips, cracks and tonal shifts vary from vessel to vessel. It has real presence without overwhelming a room, and it looks just as strong empty as it does holding a few dried branches, pampas or a single sculptural stem. In warm evening light the contrast between the pale body and dark streaks deepens, adding quiet drama to a calm Scandi space.
Place it on a walnut sideboard beneath artwork, at the centre of a dining table, or on a low coffee table with a stack of books. It is designed as a decorative vessel for dried arrangements, so there is no water to spill or stain. Each vase is carefully packed for delivery to your door.
