A ceramic shelf sculpture with a travertine look finish, 18 cm wide, 20 cm high and 4 cm deep: a round cream disc, a tall rounded bar and one small rust red cylinder balanced on top. It is for a bookshelf or console, standing alone or as a light book support for a few slim volumes.
Three simple shapes lean on each other and somehow hold perfectly still, so it looks like a piece you would find in a gallery shop. The pale, softly pitted surface pairs beautifully with walnut, linen and warm plaster in a Scandinavian hygge interior, while the rust red cylinder adds one warm, deliberate note of colour. Under a warm lamp the pale finish glows, and its shallow depth fits easily on narrow shelves.
The pitting varies slightly from set to set. It ships carefully packed for delivery. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, and keep it away from acidic cleaners. Use it as a light book support rather than for heavy volumes.
