Cairn Hourglass, 30 Minute Sand Timer

A 30 minute hourglass in borosilicate glass with black sand, set on four faceted resin stones, about 28 cm tall, in charcoal or brown. Turn it over at the start of a reading hour, a phone free dinner or a focused stretch of work, and watch thirty unhurried minutes fall from one glass bulb to the other.

The clear borosilicate glass sits on angular resin stones in soft, layered tones, so it works as a sculpture even when it is not timing anything. Choose Charcoal Stones for a cool, graphic look on a white shelf or a walnut console, or Brown Stones for a warmer stack that melts into linen, oak and travertine. It stands about 28 cm tall, which makes it a natural focal point on a sideboard, desk, bookshelf or bedside table.

The stone shapes and shading vary slightly from piece to piece. It is a gift that looks considered and is used every day. Every hourglass is carefully packed so the glass reaches your Australian home safely.
