A soft white folded sculpture balanced on a mirror finish sphere, cast in resin, about 22 x 26.5 x 18.5 cm. It is for a console, a coffee table or a shelf, where the matte white form and the reflective ball below it catch the light in two different ways.
The upper piece looks like a thick ribbon of plaster folded over on itself, with a slightly textured matte surface. The sphere beneath is smooth and mirror bright, so it picks up the colours of the room around it: the walnut of the table, the glow of a lamp, the dark of a window at night.
It suits a room that is mostly calm and neutral and could use one modern, slightly playful object. Pair it with dark ceramics or a stack of black books for contrast. Resin keeps it light enough to move easily. Dust the white form with a soft dry brush and polish the sphere with a soft cloth. Indoor use.
