A ceramic vase shaped like a jar resting on its side, 25 cm wide and 19 cm high, with a rough, warm sandstone texture finish and its round opening facing outward. It is for a coffee table, shelf or styled tray, left bare or holding a few dried stems, and it is the kind of piece guests lean in to touch.
The wabi sabi finish is the whole point: soft, matte and gently uneven, in a warm stone colour that disappears into linen, oak and walnut. Under a warm lamp the grain of the surface glows and the opening throws a small pool of shadow. It holds a quiet, unhurried presence and is substantial without feeling heavy.
The texture varies slightly from piece to piece, so no two are exactly alike. The flat base keeps it steady on a shelf. It ships carefully packed for delivery. Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
