Travertine Footed Bowl, Three Leg Stone Bowl

A deep natural travertine bowl raised on three short cylindrical legs, 20 cm across and 13 cm tall. It is for a dining table, coffee table or console, as a centrepiece on its own or a place for keys, fruit or a few found objects.

The bowl is a simple half sphere and the legs are thick and short, which gives it a grounded, slightly architectural look. Travertine is a warm limestone with natural pores and soft banding, and on a dark timber table under low evening light the stone glows pale and matte, with every small pit and line visible.

Use it empty as a sculpture, fill it with lemons or pears, or keep it by the door for keys and sunglasses. Natural stone means the colour and pattern vary from piece to piece. For fruit, a cloth or paper under the food keeps the stone clean. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, avoid soaking it and keep it away from acids such as citrus juice and vinegar.
